Rosie Mae Brightwell, 92, of Shawnee, OK, died Feb. 16, 2022, in McLoud. She was born Dec. 11, 1929, to William Henry and Mattie Lee (Pierce) Lairson in Macomb, OK. Rosie was raised in the Shawnee/Tecumseh area and was a 1947 graduate of Tecumseh High School.

Martha Ellen (Lilley) Hinkle

Dr. Robert Dale DawMartha Ellen (Lilley) Hinkle, 67, of Tecumseh, OK, died Feb. 18, 2022. Born Aug. 1, 1954 in Wichita Falls, TX, Martha was the youngest child of John Vincent Lilley and Nancy Melba (Clark) Lilley. She grew up on the family farm in Burkburnett, TX.

Ramona Donnell Jones

Ramona Donnell Jones, 86, resident of Meeker, OK, died Feb. 12, 2022. Donnell was born on Feb. 26, 1935, in Chandler, OK to her parents, Wetzel Milton Hurst and Ramona Vivian Hurst. A funeral ceremony for Donnell was held Feb. 18, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Chandler.

Beverly Sue (Disel) Cox

Beverly Sue (Disel) Cox died Feb. 12, 2022. Beverly was born to Dorothy Ramona (Landers) Disel and Vernon Everett Disel on Nov. 5, 1939, in Seminole County, OK. She was a gifted and loyal employee of Girls Town, later named COJAC. Beverly married Clarence Cox, Jr. on Oct. 4, 1957, in Wewoka, OK.

Karen Ann Binder (61) of Macomb died Feb. 6, 2022, at the OU Medical Center. Funeral services were at the Tecumseh City Hall with interment following at the Prarie View Cemetery in Macomb. Directed by McMahans Funeral Home of Noble.

Steven Edd Barnes

Steven Edd Barnes, 54, died Feb. 2, 2022. He was born Oct. 3, 1967, in Tecumseh, OK to Edd and Retha Mae (Rose) Barnes. He held many jobs, but the one he loved most was working with his dad and friends at Hardesty Grocery.

Bruce D. Alford

Bruce D. Alford, 69, of Tecumseh, OK, died Feb. 8, 2022, in Oklahoma City. He was born July 11, 1952, to George and Karleta (Makaseah) Alford in Shawnee, OK. He was a bricklayer and worked for James and Danny Bryd for many years. Bruce married Sandra Huckaby on March 2, 1981 in Shawnee, OK.

Virginia P. Bradshaw

Virginia Browning Bradshaw died Feb. 9, 2022, at her home in Shawnee, OK. She was 92. She was born Feb. 21, 1929, during an oil well gusher in the northern Oklahoma town of Braman. Her family moved to Chandler where in high school, Virginia began what would become her life’s work – journalism.

David Joe Edwards

David Joe Edwards, resident of Meeker, died Feb. 10, 2022. He was 61 years old. David was born on March 18, 1960, in Madera, CA, to his parents, Joe and Lois Edwards. A funeral ceremony for David will be held Feb. 18, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel.

Kelee Ann Everett of Harrah, OK, died Feb. 10, 2022. She was 42 years old. Kelee Ann Everett was born to Coy D. Everett and Shelee (Ford) Everett at Edmond Memorial Hospital on Jan. 30, 1980. A ceremony to greatly celebrate and remember Kelee was held Feb. 16, 2022, at the Walker Funeral Chapel.
