The Pottawatomie Board of County Commissioners held a long meeting Monday, Oct. 2, finally adjourning at 5:29 pm. Cameras Being Installed At Slick Humphrey Park

The Tecumseh City Council authorized the purchase of a $24,241 security camera system for the city’s Slick Humphrey Park, during their regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 2nd. This comes as a result of increased vandalism issues in recent months.

Shawnee Fire Department is dousing the roof of The Ritz in an attempt to keep the fire from spreading. Shawnee Superintendent Dr. Aaron Espolt announced that Shawnee Head Swim Coach Valarie Colburn has been named the 2022-23 OSSAA Swim Coach of the Year. During the Oct. 2 Shawnee Board of Education meeting, Espolt congratulated Colburn saying, “So, as we all would say, well earned, well deserved.

We Made A Mistake

It was reported in the Countywide & Sun l that the two bond propositions for McLoud Public Schools passed. That is not correct. Bonds require a 60 percent vote (super majority) to pass and neither propositions received the required votes to reach the 60 percent threshold.

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Public Information Department FireLake Golf is ready to welcome new golfers and show off its latest improvements, including a global positioning system or GPS. The 18-hole course has a driving range and putting and chipping greens.
