Tiger Safari New To The Fourth Annual Mingle On Main Street

The Tiger Safari Zoological Park will be visiting Tecumseh with some of their exotic animal friends June 20. The free animal exhibit is out of Tuttle and new to Mingle on Main Street this year.

Four of the five candidates for the District 2 Pottawatomie County Commissioner race participated in the PAVE (Pottawatomie Advocates for Voter Education) forum held on Thursday, Mar. 23. The Countywide & Sun chose three questions to publish, as well as closing remarks from each candidate.

Tecumseh School Board Fills Ward 4, Kennedy Resigns

As one Tecumseh School Board member is replaced, another has resigned.Tim Underwood resigned in April, and when no one responded to fill the Ward Four position, the Board requested letters be sent in to apply, according to previous Countywide coverage.

ODOT Donates Millings For Wanette Street Repairs

Last week, the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissions approved Shawnee Schools’ use of $50,000 of its education sales tax funds to pay for a sports video board for Jim Thorpe Stadium. However, Shawnee meant to request $462,000 for the purchase.The Commissioners approved $462,000.

Dobson Fiber Commits To Fiber Internet Expansion In Tecumseh

Dobson Fiber presented a shovel to the City of Tecumseh as they announced the beginning of construction in Tecumseh, on May 16.

Tecumseh Awards Bid For Water Supply Projects

The Tecumseh City Council awarded Superior Services and Supply bids totaling $699,800 for work on the water tower pump station and standpipe improvements at the meeting on Tuesday, May 28.The water tower project bid at $315,200.
